Katie has been teaching yoga for over 10 years. She began her yoga journey while completing her BFA in Theatre.
Since that time, she has continued to follow her passions for both theatre and movement.
In 2014, she completed her Masters Degree in Movement for Teaching and Directing at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, England. She does movement work with actors at the Stratford Festival of Canada and continues to educate herself in as many different movement modalities as she can.
A bit of a ‘movement nerd’, Katie is always looking for evidence-based research to continue her learning and inspire her classes. Her yoga classes have a strong focus on breath, strength and movement variability. She always tries to invokes ‘play’, looking for different ways to move the body and connect that movement to breath.
